The hotel was very comfortable. Nice staff.
The room was clean and comfortable.
Because there was some ongoing remodeling , the área for breakfast was a bit crowded.

Fantastic stay in Barra, Rio. The food, the sights, the sounds, the people - beautiful
I liked the size of the room and bathroom. The rooftop pool was very accessible and practically empty, so nice. The staff at reception and in the restaurant were nice. There is a lovely area just a few metres from the hotel with fantastic restaurants/cafes, a chemist and supermarket, very convenient. A short drive away are several shopping malls with lovely restaurants. The expansive beach was only 3 minutes by car but over 30 mins to walk because the quick route is via a highway. Could be seen as a plus or a minus but Ubers were cheap so not a real problem. 30-40 minute ride to Copacabana and Ipanema by Uber, and seriously cheap at around £3.00 each way. Please go sightseeing. A one day tour you'll get to see Christ The Redeemer (the story of it's construction is interesting), Sugar Loaf Mountain by cable car, The Selarón Steps, all great photo ops. Also, go to a football match such a buzz - you are in the land of football it's a must. The fans singing and drumming is an amazing sight and sound to behold.
The included hotel breakfast was uninspired, and lukewarm at best. The menu never changed in the 10 days we were there. I'm a pescatarian and enjoyed several glorious fish dishes in Rio, yet no fish available on the buffet. Although, if you like a lot of pastries and cakes in the morning you'll be in luck.
